plug is old and my light wires came out NEED HELP!!!

my old light harness plug is old and the clips broke so now my wires came out and i dont know which goes where

can someone tell me what wire plugs into where on the back of my headlight switch

my harness is no good, but i still have the terminals on the wires and they still plug into the clips on the back of the switch but just no plastic plug..oh well i hate undoing those 2 clips anyway!! LOL

PLEASE HELP, cant drive at night!!!!!!

thanks for the autozone link, very handy and nice diagrams and all but I dont see the headlight switch diagram, or at least the color code....




Here are my color wires:::

Big Red w/ Yellow stripe

Light Brown w/ White stripe

Light Blue w/ Red stripe

2 Dark Brown wires together as 1

Black



Can anyone tell me what color wire goes to what, Heres whats on the back of my light switch, they are the lettered terminals on the back of my light switch...terminal::

anyone!!??? can someone unplug their harness and tell me what color wires goes to what letter on the back of the switch, i cant even drive at night!

it doesnt show ANY color diagram w/ the headlight harness, it just tells me how to unplug it?????? i know how to do that, but i need to know what color wire goes to what letter on the back of the headlight switch....like i said my plug is shi* now so i dont know what wire goes where and i allready blew 5 fuses trying different combos and dont feel like screwing my entire electrical system up!!!

any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

I had the same problem and had to buy a new switch off ebay and asked the guy to keep all the wires in the back. This is what it looks like from an 87 GT

If you hold the switch with the clips on the left side you see 6 holes for terminals like this

clip 1 2 3
clip 4 5 6


1. Blue wire
2. Brown with white stripe
3. Thick black wire with orange stripe
4. Medium thickness red wire with yellow stripe
5. Two brown wires that turn into one at the terminal
6. Two black wires that turn into one at the terminal
