Plug wires - help..

Just put a new MSD ready to run in my 1970 302. Have to change the wires since it has male ends on distrib. Bought a set of universal Accel 8mm and having the a tough time just getting boot on. Got one on after about a 1/2 hour of struggling - used grease, butter, wd 40, no help. Would be interested in some tips or if a recommendation on good set of wires ready to go that will fit my setup. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I like the Ford Racing wires. They even have the Ford logo and Ford Racing on them and they are a really nice spiral core wire set. Pre-cut and ready to install!
