Plugs and wires

I have a 1999 cobra and i just got the check engine light and i checked it out and it says i have a cylinder 5 misfire. While im down there im going to change all the plugs and wires but i dont know what to use. Some people say the Bosch and some say the NGK. And for wires should i go with MSD 8.5mm or the ford racing ones. Price doesnt really matter that much i just need some help. Also how long would this project take to do thanks.

You have no sparkplug wires - the 99 has a COP (Coil On Plug) ignitiion system. Once you remove the spark plug covers that sit on top of the valve covers, you will see what I mean...

If you plan on changing the plugs, a good copper plug will be just fine.

Oh ok i didnt know that so 1999 cobras dont have plug wires the coil pack is right on the plug itself. Is that hard to get to or is that a pretty easy project

It may be hard at first if this is your first project by yourself on your car, but keep on working at it and it shoudl become easier as you go.

Make sure you change them when the motor is 100% cold. For example: First thing in the morning. Changing them warn or hot, may strip your thread holes in the cylinder head!!
