Plugs are white from timing

ive got motorcraft plugs in my 96 gt. all the plugs are white from the timing not being set right <12 degrees> on the Steeda T/A. i dont know where to set it at. is it too low? too high? any insight would help. current mods are:

70mm SVO Tbody
Fuel pressure regulator & gauge. set to 38lbs
Steeda Timing adjuster 13 deg
Bassani X-pipe w/ cats adn Quiet Thunder Catbacks
MAC CAI <just the upper part with a k&n filter open>
Tri-AX

I don't think your timing is the problem, 12 or 13* certainly shouldn't give you any problems, stock setting is 10*. Can you hear any detonation? White plugs are bad though, that's a sign your engine is running too lean.
