Polished intake question

I just had a cartech intake polished by a professional polisher. It is full of compound and dust, guess it stuck to oily residue in the intake. If I use engine cleaner to flush out the intake will it haze the outside if it gets on it? Right now it looks chrome and I want to keep it that way.

What about a can of brake cleaner? Engine cleaner is pretty nasty crap. But first, I would call the company/guy that did the polish and see what they/he recommends.

I can't believe they didn't fully clean the manifold before they started to polish, oil plays hell on buffing wheels and compound and will make a mess when trying to polish.

ANything you use is going to dull it out a little, your best bet it to wipe it clean and use some water with some dishwashing detergent trying to keep it off the outside.

I'd call your guy first....
