Which handle do you prefer with the MGW short throw shifter. Blue or Red. Please give a reason on which one you like?

Thanks,

I'm also thinking of this shifter.

I don't want to spend $30 for both handles, so which should i go with? Red or shorter blue??

So is the blue one the "RACE" handle and the red one made more for comfort and street use?

I got my MGW for Xmas. Not in yet (damn winter) but I specifically said "BLUE" handle.

The thing is a piece of art.

I think it will suit my style better. Function over form and comfort.

Did I mention it's a piece of art?

I chose to go with the Red handle. It sure makes daily driving more enjoyable. Easier to reach.

I have no experience with the blue handle, but can only imagine that it is tougher to get comfortable with.

Red is for street use. The red handle is shorter height wise, and is further away as it is.

The red handle doesn't look bad either.

Im thinking about ordering this shifter also, I read that Fast 02 said that he sits to far back and misses shifts...... I sit all the way back and all the way down so do you think the red handle will work better?

I'll let you know as soon as i get my shifter. I ordered one with the red handle last night. I sit just like you, far back with the seat leaned back because I am tall.

I am average/slighty above average height 5'11", and I have the seat all the way back. The red handle is perfect for me.

I just installed the shifter last night, and kudos to MGW for making a fine product. It was a breeze to install with the helpful instructions and you can tell some effort went into making this shifter. It took right at 20 days to receive it from the time I phoned in the order (not too terribly bad).
