i heard the 06' v-6's have the pony harness wired in from the factory but its all up to production dates if the car in fact has all of the wiring complete except for the foglamp pigtails off the front harness. does anyone know the truth about this? i have a june production 06 vert and want to go into this project with as much educational ammo as possible. obviously it would be much easier to plug in and drive away rather than go through the entire front harness replacement. and yes i know i have to change the switch out as well it would just be nice to not have to route a new harness in ya know? any help sure would be sweet. ive talked with all the outfits and nobody really has an answer.could this be the "sasquatch" of the mustang world? i sure hope not. thank you in advance to anyone with knowledge in this matter. Sorry to bump an ancient thread, but this is very interesting...

I just got an '06 'vert. I'm not sure what the production date is... I'll have to check tomorrow once the sun comes back up. However, I'll have to give a look underneath the hood. What would I be looking for?

If this is indeed true, would the harness only work with Pony Package setup or would I be able to use one of the GT conversion grilles with GT fogs?

If your car is not a Pony Package equipped car the harness is not present.
There are countless threads on various boards on how to install an aftermarket harness with and without a factory switch.
