Ford now has a pony grill kit available. I forget the part number. List price is $600 plus. My dealer will sell to me for about $470. Includes grill, lights, wiring harness and factory switch. Sounds expensive to me. I also wonder about the cost to install. I wouldn't dare attempt it myself. I also have a 1966 Mustang convertible and leave work on it to others. I know better than to touch it myself.

I talked to one of the dealers in my area who installs the GT foglights on V6's, he said he was going to charge 700 for the parts and the installation for the Pony grill/foglights or for the GT grill/foglights. Pretty expensive if you ask me. I wish west coast customs were a better business, they seemed to have a good product.

From some of the posts on this forum and some other forums, it seems like West Coast is not a good place to do business with. A lot of folks have placed their orders and have had their credit cards charged, but the product has not been shipped to them and the company seems to give everyone the run around. Kinda sucks cause I wanted the GT Grill from them, but with all the negative feedback, I doubt if I buy from them.

still haven't heard from them

I ordered the pony grill weeks ago. I still have not had an answer to any email or phone call. I would HIGHLY recommend not dealing with them. Has anybody in the forum had a good experience with them, and if so, how long ago?

$1195

That is the option price for the Pony Package. It consists of...

- The Grill and lights, harness, switch (Which the after market is trying to sell for $600-$700)

So what does the other $500 get you... A damn good deal it seems

- GT Spec suspension
- 17 Bullitt Wheels
- Traction Control
- Antilock Brakes
- Simple upgrade to the floor mats (brushed aluminum mustang logo)

A few other things are listed as PP items, but are also standard with the Premium V6.

I'd say the aftermarket is going to rake in some good coin on this one. Look at the price the intakes for these cars are commanding even now - a year+ into the model. A pipe with a spacer to center the MAF sensor is not worth $200-300 no matter what it's made from, but people are paying so the market keeps charging.

With a little patience you can save a bundle. To see the future look into the past. You can get a CAI for a 99+ for $50 now and they consist of more than a single pipe, filter and heat shield.
