Can this stuff be reduced and sprayed on?

I've never worked with POR-15 but want to know b/c I'm going to wire wheel the undercarriage on my street toy and then coat it. Figure it would be easier with a sprayer but if not I guess I'll be doing the brush thing.

Logic would tell you that it could be ruduced so you could use it in a sprayer just like any other paint, but I don't have a definitive answer because I painted mine on with a brush. Give them a shout and ask them if you can reduce it, and if so, what do you use? Mineral spirits....etc.

Keep in mind that you'll have to wash and etch the surface as instructed prior to spraying Por15. They also highly recommend using a fresh air supplied mask when spraying, not just the cartridge filter kind. Having a perfect undercarriage isn't much good if you're dead.

Thanks for the advice. And the safety tips.

I'll be doing it in my garage so I think the brush will be the way to go. Less airborne particles etc.
Get the Por15 reducer anyway, as it will aid you in clean-up and if you tightly wrap a reducer soaked paintbrush in a plastic bag it will keep about a week. They also recommend pouring a small film of reducer on top of leftover Por15, in the can, when storing it. Note, do not use it straight out of the can as any leftover will be contaminated and get funky within 24 hrs.
