how fast should they be? raced one and he got me by about half a car length in 1/8mile, that about right?

For a base model C2, depending on the year and stuff...thats about right. There are tons of Carerras (all of them 911's, except the Carrera GT, but they are also given a numerical nomenclature such as 964, 993, 996, 997 to designate different years/body styles). Turbos are the fast ones, C2S and C4S next fastest, then C4, and finally "base" C2's are the slowest.

I drove a c2 a couple of months ago it's not that fast sounds about right to me.

we have a 4s at my work right now, it's pretty fast.. I also drove a turbo once that thing was SICK
