I have a set of npi heads that i picked up cheap. I want to get them port and polished. What specs do i need to get them pnp'ed to. Basically, what besides saying i want these pnp'ed would i tell the machine shop? My next question is what cams would i be better off with? The 268h for npi or the 262ah or the pi cams. I all ready have the PI intake? What combination with the npi pnp'ed heads would be the best. I'm staying n/a and i dont want to have to run 91 with the pi heads b/c of the compression.

Well I'd suggest valve spring upgrade while the heads are off. the 262's seem to be a good street cam. Sound good too. But personally I like the 270's specs.
Also your prolly gonna want to get it tuned after the cams. But outta the 2 you listed I'd go with the 262's. From what I was told the ah just have more lift than the h's hence why a valve spring upgrade might be a good idea.

From what I've read the 268h sounds like it should pull real good in your car.
Here is an article where they did the 268h's also didn't MM&FF do a bunch of cam swaps in RSC project car?

The best NPI heads are Renegade Racing's, nothing else is close, not even Steen. Of the cams you mentioned, I would go with the Comp 262AH( High lift version ).

Renegade Racing does not have a website. The only way to get ahold of Jim is through email.

As a minimum, gasket match the ports, leaving the swirl dam in and a quality valve job.

The 262's should be a good cam for your setup. They should pull good in your car. I would also recomend doing some Beehive springs while you were in there. and upgrading the valves aswell. We have done a couple of these heads on some blown cars and turned out pretty good. If you have any questions feel free to call or Pm me anytime. Good luck on them!

Need help selecting a aggressive cam. 274h's or the
270's? Will the 270's work with pnp npi heads and spring upgrade? What will this combo gain...pnp npi heads, 274or 270 cams, pi intake? Will have a 2000+ stall by then and a tune. Plus the sig mods?
