i know another head question.....anyway, have the following-e-cam,cobra intake,70mm bbk tb,bbk shorties abd o/r pipe with flows on back,a jms chip.now the deal is the heads are gt-40's that have been ported ,they intale ports are nearlly the size of a fel-pro 1262 gasket(1.28x2.10). think thats too big for a 302?car seems to lack low end leading me to believe that the heads are a little large.dyno #'s were alot less than expected ,like 233hp and 255tq.(this on a mustang dyno).so question is would either the edel, or afr's be a good choice...and where is best place to get them? thanks for the help

That does sound awefully big. I'm surprised the ported didn't go through the port wall if it truely is that big. The lack of low end could be due to the 70mm t-body, the e-303 cam etc. Compared to a stock car, one with H/C/I can sometimes feel weaker down low. Mustang dyno numbers are so hard to tell by, I dyno'd a whopping 180rwhp with a e-brock intake, full exhaust, pulleys, etc... most dyno around 235+ on a dynojet with such mods. the car ran good at the track with a 13.83 at 98.5mph at 3750+lbs. I'd run the car at the track or on a dynojet before dropping a large chunk of change on a set of new heads.

thanks Paul..you always seem to have a rational answer....another thing meant to add in here.....car still has 19 pounders and stock maf.....would 24 and bigger maf help amy?
