I have a question i see 1999-04 mustang gt's with cobra wheels all the time. Does this mean that they are posers? I was wondering b.c i like the new cobra wheels. If i was to put them on my v6 would i be a "poser".

Thanks
Hutch

Can't you just change out the center pieces if you feel that they might convey a false message?

you know what, i am so sick of poeple saying oh well if you have this or that then your a poser...do what makes YOU happy. I have an 06 GT with the FULL Saleen body kit, fade stripes, exhaust and rims....does that make me a poser? Its not like i say Oh i have a Saleen. Hell just to make sure poeple cant say anything about it iam getting custom plates that say, NOT-REAL. We cant all afford the real thing, but a lot of us want the look...so go for it. As long as your happy with YOUR car then thats all that matters...just dont say Hey i have a cobra then pop the hood to a V-6...be honest.

I'm trying to not be a poser. I want a Shelby but its very likely not going to happen. So since I like the look of the Shelby GT500 I planned on getting the complete body kit without the SHELBY badging, Snake badging, and GT500 stripes and instead keeping my GT badges, throwing the SALEEN S281 "supercharged" badges on there, and swapping out the Cobra on the grille for a running pony w/ the stripes. Yeah it'll look like a Shelby but it wont be a Shelby.

My opinion, if you are happy with it, then who cares what anyone else thinks. I do know it's a good feeling to get approval about your Mustang from your peers though, so I'm with the majority, as long as the badges aren't used then no poser status should be applied.

I totally agree with you on this. I dont think it makes you a poser if you put badges or body kits on your car. Isnt that the point of all these company putting all these products out? If not all of our cars would look the same and who wants a car that looks like everyone elses? By calling someone a poser by their car is stupid, its their money not yours.
