whilst changing my girlfriends battery in her 94gt, i disconnected a wire off the back of the positive terminal clamp. theres 2 bolts going through the clap, one is the big gauge wire going to the starter, with the stereo on that side too...

now there WAS another wire on the other bolt, but i seem to not be able to find it... im assuming its a ground or somthing, anyone help?

NO WAY ITS A GROUND IF IT WAS ON THE POSITIVE CABLE!!!!!!!! DO NOT TOUCH TO THE METAL OF THE CAR!!!!!!! FIREWORKS WILL HAPPEN!!!!!!!! Check the wire going to the fuse box. Also you may have some nasty hack wiring job. The only thing I can tell you without seeing it myself is to get a friend or a mechanic to help you. There is a small blackl wire off the NEGATIVE terminal that DOES go to the front radiator support.

if it was coming off the positive terminal, it's definitely not a ground. there should be a wire going to the starter (which you have) and a wire going to the power distribution box (black plastic box containing fuses and relays attached to the inner fender next to the battery).

those are the only ones I know of off hand.

Edit: looks like I was beaten to the punch!
