I have an '06 GT with roughly 3000 miles on it. I had no problems for the first 9 months, but there is now a "hang" between shifts. The rpm's go up slightly when I push in the clutch and the car sometimes seems to pull itself when I let off of the gas. The performance is fine but the jump in rpm's is really annoying. I've been told it is probably related to emissions. Any ideas? Would a tuner help?

welcome to :SNSign: it sounds to me as if it is normal. the thing that is throwing me a curveball is that you did not notice it in the first 9 months. assuming that it has been like that sonce day one, and you just noticed it, then yes, it is the CMCV plates, and is emissions related. a tune will cure the hanging RPMS, and the throttle lag, as well as boost HP!!

Get a tuner, I recommend x-cal2.

Thanks for the advice. I will have to get a tuner. I want to get rid of the jump in rpm's and more horsepower is always a good thing.

Good advice; make sure you go with Brenspeed... I just got mine last week and it's awesome!

My RPMs still do hang slightly with the Brenspeed 93 octane tune but they certainly don't jump. Not sure that you're going to get completely rid of the issue w/o changing the plates. My advice is to try the tuner first. I think you'll be really surprised at how much better the car responds overall with it. I returned my car back to stock tune earlier this week for some warranty work and was really surprised at just how differently it performs w/o the tune.
