I'm looking for some of your thoughts. I think it might be interesting to take a 4wd F150, and make it look like, and perform like a lightning. Do you think that a 4wd "lightning" would be good vehicle? Also, do you think a manual or automatic transmission would be better for said vehicle. This might not be considered tech, but I thought was a good place to post. Thanks in advance for your input.

Thanks, I just checked out the website, and it was project "Sportsman". It was an 02 4x4 crewcab (whatever the full 4 door is). They through a centrifugal sc w/ intercooler on it. I want to take a 99+ regular cab, short bed, flare side, 4x4 f150, and have a 5.4 sohc w/ a twin screw like the lightning. Does anyone else have any thoughts?

sounds sweet. definitely mod the engine s/c or something. and then either keep it low like a lightning or jack it up a little. personally a the lowered one will be sweet cuz if you could get it to hook up at the track.......also with the lowered option get some 18"+ chrome rims, depending on color, etc(if it were a new model).you'd be getting real custom if you put a manual in it. you would have to deal with the transfer case, hole in the floor, etc.
