Ok, so here is the story. When I installed my 255lph fuel pump, I was stupid and put electrical tape over the spliced/soldered wires... I know, STUPID STUPID STUPID! I know I will have to go back in there and properly heat shrink it. Anyway, when I connect the fuel pressure gauge, and turn the engine on, the gauge goes up pretty slow. I have heard that this is a sign of a weak fuel pump. And it did this from the very first day I installed it. Any truth to this?
Also, can this fuel pump be saved, or am I killing it by not having properly covered up those wires? By now that electrical tape must have fallen off or something.
