I was googling and people only were discussing oil types for 'high mileage cars' having only 150k miles. No where near 700k. I don't know if this fox has its original engine or not but if it does what precautions should I be looking at? Particular kind of oil, sythetic, mixed, or?

Really couldn't find too much on people with similar situations or much research on 200+ miles

Thanks

My currently 2007 escape has 214k on it. I throw in motorcraft semi-synthetic because thats what it calls for. However if conventional oil is on sale, i get that (in the same weight). IMO its all about how frequently you change it. I've had 3 vehicles go over 200k, one going to 225k. I plan on running my escape to 300k at least (i have student loans i want to pay off before i get anything else)

Change the oil on the regular, and make sure it never runs low, and i think you'll be fine.

:leghump: me. I went to take a picture and realised it wasn't a high mile odometer. 72k is a much better, managable number for a 20 year old car. Less miles than my 95 by a lot. I know which oil, sorry about that. :p

Put the blush back on my face. -___-

I'm going to run half synthetic half non synthetic mix 5w30 right?
