Possibly bad gas?

Hey so when replacing my fuel pump and fuel filter, I dropped my tank, but it was in really rough condition, so I put an older tank, that was in really good condition from my last mustang that was in the shed up, and filled it back up with gas. Not sure if a slight amount of water got in there, or if there was a bit of bad gas?

My dad added some gasline anti freeze and tomorrow I am going to top up the tank. But just wondering if any of you have experienced anything like this.

The car just started running ****ty and stalling on me. It won't stay running for long without stalling. After topping it up tomorrow I will cross my fingers that it starts running better. But last it ran, I had to keep restarting it, but even when crusing it would die out on me.

Fuel pump is consistently staying on, and am getting consistent fuel pressure, so just thinking it could be either a very small amount of water got in there or bad gas?

Any thoughts?

The pump should not run all the time. It should prime the system then run after the engine is started and running. If it runs all the time then it never builds enough pressure to run the engine. Check the fuel regulator for a leak. Pull the vacuum line and see there is gas spitting out. Also check to make sure the fuel line is bled too. Use the schrader valve, looks like a valve stem on a bike. See if fuel rushes out when you press the valve in.

Hey sorry, I re-read that and should have written, when it is jumpered it stays running and doesn't struggle, like my old one did. But it doesn't stay on after it's primed. Sorry I totally see how you could have got that.

I didn't bleed my fuel line, is that totally necessary??

if nothing else pressing in the schrader valve will show if you have fuel pressure...
