Gift to myself for finishing the car..the garage is still a favorite hangout...luckly now I spend more time turning bottle caps and wax bottle caps than I do wrenches.
wait till yall see our new shop once it starts getting built.. 60' x 80'.. freaking huge.. we'll be able to keep every car we own inside and have like 20 lifts lol as well as a 12 ft projector screen TV and full surround sound for the entire garage.. AC/Heat.. its our dream garage lol finally getting built with an extra 5 acres around for the house and a mini junkyard lol
I just finished installing my cruise control switches into the ash tray. The reason why I had to do this was because I installed a Grant Carbon Fiber steering wheel into my car and Grant doesn't make a cruise control kit for the '79-'82 Mustangs with the splined steering shafts. I bought a kit for the '79 Ford Pickups and Bronco's, thinking that I could make it fit. WRONG!
After thinking about it for 2 years, I disassembled the kit and modified it to fit the ashtray. I then caulked all creases and sprayed it with Krylon's Semi-Flat Black paint (except the buttons.) It came out nicely and I've just got to wire it in. I know it'll be a little harder to operate but it's better than it not being hooked up.
