My wife wants her caliper painted but now that the car is up in the air she is not sure. post pics so she can make a final decision.

Dupli-color brake paint kit sells for $14 at Wal-Mart. I'd recommend stopping in the Craft department and picking up some different paint brushes however. The brush that comes in the kit is pretty bad.

Mine has started to flake off now. I haven't heard of anyone having this problem. Did I not use enough coats? I used the duplicolor kit.

I would imagine that some cracking and flaking of the paint is normal. I put four coats of paint on mine and haven't yet found any chips. I imagine I will fine them in time.

make sure you clean them REAL GOOD before you paint

they were brand new... the calipers had just a few hundred miles on them. I cleaned on, and realized it wasn't taking anything off, so the rest I just used an air hose on.. I guess that could be why. guess i'll have to go out after work and compare the one I cleaned against the others.
