POST PICS of your steering wheel

Those are Recaros, as used in 79-80 Fox Mustangs, and in some 80-81 T-birds and Cougars. I have a set in my 69 Cougar.
I had a set I scored from a wrecked '79 Pace Car. They are good, comfortable, and supportive, but I found they aren't very durable. The frame bent in both seats with 3 years of regular use. :notnice:

I have to keep tightening the bolts that hold the recline mechanism to the seat frame. If it's loose, it is difficult to unlatch the seatback for access to the rear seat.

No bending of the frame as far as I can tell in over ten years of use, and I'm a pretty big dude.

heres basically that black one above, but i got the woodgrain, looks like the same rim as the shelby's but costs a ton less. real wood though. made by grant. im sure everyones seen it. also, it doesnt stick out to far unless you have a huge gut :rlaugh:

coolpic. that explained why that doesn't stick out too far. with these wheels, it eliminates a big spacer that used with the GT series.
Now I will go buy one.

I want to know where you got those seats as well....very nice looking. :nice:

Thanks for the compliments......... been away from the forum a couple days.

Not to hijack the thread but.............. YES, the seats are Recaro's.............. But they're out of an '85 BMW

Had them re-skinned using black vinyl with silver carbon fiber weave insets. Door panels were done to match as well as rear fold down. Ponies were done on the headrest and rear seat back rest vinyl by an embroidery shop prior to being sewn together by upholstery shop.

Here's an exterior shot to go with the interior :D
