I have a 97 Gt. Recently the door locks have been going crazy. While driving, they keep trying to unlock. And continue to unlock until the car is turned off. It is really annoying. Then when you try to set the alarm, they do not always lock. Have any of you had this problem, or know what I can do to fix it.

If you have an aftermarket alarm then you should trace the wiring from the brain to wherever it's spliced in to the door lock actuators. If it's just the regular keyless entry thing, then you will be looking at the wiring for a short circuit somewhere. My advice would be remove the door panels, and just glance over the wiring, trace it all the way through the door, through the little rubber thing, to the kick panels, and up in to the dash. I'm betting a recent mod or an existing mod that involves one of its wires is the culprit.

Good luck.

Could be the alarm system.

I would check all the fuses and wires to make sure the alarm is not shorting itself out anywhere. Are all the switches that make sure the doors are shut operating to proper standards? My '95 Cobra clone had a door switch (the one that actuates the dome, etc) go out and it gave the alarm fits--it sent the alarm into a "safe" mode of sorts and forced it to leave the doors unlocked and would not engage the alarm. It was a PITA!
