power door lock stoped working

Is this on the driver door (passenger button), or the passenger door?

Reason I ask, is because I had the same problem with my 89. The passenger door would work, but not the drivers door (passenger button).

Needed to change the drivers side button.

I have a 2002 Gt and my passenger door lock stoped working i hit the unlock and the nob just wigglies but does not go up. What should i do
here are the possibilities w/o you giving us more info

1)pass side switch, driver side switch and remote dont work but door knob still "wiggles"=bad pass side lock actuator (this is what i think the prob might be)

2)pass side/driver side switch INOP and remote doesnt work and door knob wont "wiggle" i.e. move or make noise when you hit the lock/unlock button=electrical problem i.e. blown fuse, short to ground (which blows the fuse anyway), open in the circuit (a wire is cut) etc

3)pass side switch INOP but driver side switch for the pass lock works=bad pass side switch

4)driver side switch INOP but pass side switch works=bad driver side switch.

Since both buttons don't work, sounds like a bad window motor. Try to pull it and get it tested.
the window motor has nothing to do with the lock. it controls the power window. im assuming his window still works

My passenger side lock didnt go up or down, but the power buttons works. I took off the panel and there was a loose harness and I pushed it back in and what do you know worked liked a charm. Taped it around and shouldt come out anymore. If yours wiggles, then might be something else. Mine didnt move because came disconnected.

okay what the hell would the window motor have to do with the door locks?

Well chances are it is the solinoid going bad. pull and and test it out I am sure it is 12v. it if is just weak though it may still work out of the car. I don't know how much they are if it is cheap maybe just replace it.

Damn, you're right. Guess I need to have those eyes checked again.
