power driver seat not working,help!!!

Quick question,

I have a friend who just bought a 95' mustang w/ a power driver seat.
When you try to engage the seat you can hear the motor running and feel the seat trying to move but it doesn't. Anyway, I told him I would look at it for him to see if it could be fixed. Any suggestions on what might be the problem?

I also thought since he doesn't have alot of money to get it fixed, that we could just swap the two front seats, that way he can at least adjust the driver seat properly so he can drive. Is that doable?

Any ideas yall have is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I thought about switching seats a while back, but the belt loop is gonna be on the wrong side if you do that. I took my drivers seat out to move it back a bit and you'd be able to check out the mechanism then. Also may want to look under and see if theres a floormat or somethin caught up in it. If you know a little somethin about wiring you could temporarily wire it outside of the car with the existing power source and run it to see whats binding.

I've heard on a few threads on mustang boards that the power wire from the seats get caught up on the rails. Have your friend check that. Alot of the time it is hard to see.
