to really get any rel nitcable gains out a tuner you have to use the high ocetane (91-93) tune so you can advance the timing and really get power out of it

Ummm I'm assuming a mailorder tune.
If you have a 93 and race gas tuen they should already have the timing and etc taking care of.
As for how much power to pick up. Varies alot, depends on how agressive the tune is and so forth. Best thing to do is take it to the track and make passes and see. Look at your MPH that will tell you if you are in fact making more power.

yea just go to the track start with the base tune that it comes with and then go from there and when ur mph goes up then you know ur making more power. I gained about 2mph in the 1/8th from my predator when i advanced the timing 10% on both rpm levels.

I would say you would be about that with the xcal until you get it dyno tuned.

oh and if you start hearing timing back it down 2 degrees. so advance ur timing slowly dont go all out at first. That way you can kinda eye it on how much you will need to back it down if you get ping.
