power help

I have a 93 2.3 mustang run great but i want more power. but im in school and have a limited budget as far a preformance goes just a flowmaster and i removed a baffle out of intake tube. i'm looking for some cheap power for my 4 banger.

There's nothing to throw at the N/A 2.3 motor. Wait until after school to throw some money at a 2.3 turbo motor. Stick around here and more importantly turboford.org and learn AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

Keep the engine well tuned

remove the air silencer (in front of your airbox)

You'll gain 2-3hp and maybe a couple of ft-lbs of torque..

but like the guys said, there is almost nothing to do..

From everything I hear a good, cheap upgrade is also to swap in a ranger cam.

Plus, always get a K&N filter

It's a 93, It's already got that cam.

And really, a K&N isn't going to make that much of a difference. It's not worth the $40-$50 you'd have to spend.

yes the K&N is worth the 45 bucks...might not be great power, but its great for mileage

Listen to them, I am and learn. I have a 2.3 turbo but am learning from the forum. A 2.3 turbo can go from 145hp to extremes with a Volvo head Major Bucks. Start saving money search for 2.3 turbo. Talk around someone may know someone where you can get a motor.Until then read the old post use the search,search the internet there is tons of info on 2.3turbo. Use the schools acess to learn. Good luck hope to hear more
