Power Steering Pump

I have a power steering pump that has just recently started leaking. After leaving it in the garage over night there is a small puddle on the floor, and i have to fill it about once a week. My question is has anyone ever rebuilt a pump with a rebuild kit, or would it just be easier to buy a new one?

I'd buy a new one, but check all the lines where they conn. to the pump, they could just be loose.

You need to know where the leak is at first. Could just be a line leaking like Chris mentioned or it could be the pump. If it's the pump is it the front or back? The back has a rubber gasket that seals the tank which just snaps into place and could easily be leaking.

I think it is where one of the hoses connects to the pump itself, not really for sure yet, lot of fluid on it and havnt gotten a chance to clean it up yet.

make sure you check out the hose too, before you pull out the pump. could be as simple as that, assuming you haven't looked at it yet
