Has anyone here used a Turn One power steering pump before? I'm looking for a power steering pump that can handle extended high rpms and not have the steering feel "loose". I'm looking for a good road feel during racing. Anyone have a pump they recommend if not Turn One?

There are several vendors for racing pumps, and I'm sure any of them would do the job well. The biggest drawbacks are 1) Many don't have good brackets for mounting to Ford heads, and 2) They're a bit pricey, requiring a non stock pulley and many require a separate reservoir.

Something you might consider trying first is replacing your old iron pump with a light weight late model pump from a 79-93 Mustang. You'll need to modify your original bracket slightly for clearance, but it will bolt in and the stock pulley can be re-used. You can use a larger pulley from a later 70's to early 80's car or truck (the 5AA pulley works great) to slow it down if you want to make it more tuned to high RPMs. You can also use a 5/8-18 to -6AN adapter and fabricate your own lines that won't leak. A rebuilt Ford pump is around $50 IIRC from most auto chains so you won't have a huge investment should you decide to later go with the pro style pump (typically around $300 including a pulley).
