On my 95' GT, I am hearing a straining noise, as the best I can put it. You only hear it when you turn to the left. I popped the hood and it sounds like it's coming from down below. Can any one help?

i have/had the same problem. i needed a new ac compressor so i replaced that with a used one from a fellow stangnet member. the same time i installed a set of march underdrive pulleys and put half a bottle of Lucas in the power steering reservoir. took it for a test drive and i could hear it from in the car. it sounded like it was worse. i reinstalled that cover (sorry i dont know the name) on the a/c compressor and now i dont hear it anymore. it sounds dead quite, besides the sound of my mac catback and off road pipe lol 
On the top of your compressor is a relay switch. There to shut you compressor off if it is running low. My question for you is why would it be causing this problem?
