Power Window Help

My buddy has a 95 vert and his driver window has been giving him some problems. A couple of weeks ago it started going up slowly and and catching along the way. It finally stopped completely. We then took it apart and replaced the crushed plastic in the window motor itself with metal nuts. It worked great for about a week and then it quit completely. Now when you try to roll the window up, it just does nothing. You cannot hear the motor trying to work or anything. Before you could hear it clunking. Could the motor not be getting any power? Blown fuse? Any ideas?

Does the other side work? You can use a test light to see if the motor is getting juice (or note system voltage drop while the button is pressed, which indicates power is reaching the motor).

I cant remember what the inside of the SN95 window motor looks like (my most recent tinkering was on fox rear window motors). On one or both of them, there is a plastic race that captures the 3 bushings. WHen that plastic race cracks, the torque of the window expands the race and not much happens.

Also make sure the linkage is clear and in the track. Otherwise a bad wheel or friction can cause binding, which will take out bushings and the window motor prematurely.
