Anybody know how to replace the power window motor on a 2002?
Do I need to remove the entire window regulator and glass, or does the motor come out without removing anything else?
Thanks

Most power window motors are the same (atleast the ones I have replaced)..

VERY Important.. Once you remove the door panel you NEED to use a wooden block or a friend you trust ALOT to hold the window in the pane up.. as soon as you removed the motors normally the window and the pane (which is sharp sheetmetal ) is no longer supported.. this can and I have heard of stories where this has come down on peoples hands as they are removing the motors.. (Sharp Sheet metal with weight to it and flesh, don't mix)

Besides that its normally just a remove and direct replace.. I did my first one with NO mechanical knowledge at all (not that I am a master mechanic now or anything...)

Well, I did figure out how to remove the motor after all, and it´s not hard at all, all you need to do is remove the three small bolts that hold the motor to the regulator, and loosen the two front nuts that hold the regulator to the door; that will give you enough room to get the motor out. The regulator is spring loaded, so the glass stays up and does not comes crashing down on your hands.
Turns out the motor was jammed with something and was not burned out.
False alarm.
Thanks

Fortunately the motor got jammed yesterday evening, the dealer was closed already, just decided to take it off so I could go this morning and get the new motor, I'm glad I didn't need to.
