Power Window Problem?

I have a '94 GT and my passenger side window wasn't rolling up intermittently from the passenger side switch. It would always work fine from the driver's side. Just yesterday, it stopped going up from either switch.

I switched the power switch for the driver's window from the driver's door to the passenger door and was able to roll up the window so I figured it was the switch.

I went and got a new switch this morning at the Ford dealer and it wouldn't roll the window up OR down. I put the new switch in the driver's window and it works fine, so it's not the switch.

What's weird is that the passenger window ALWAYS rolled down from either side, just not up. Now it's not doing going up or down. So, what I am wondering is if the windows are on separate fuse circuits? Meaning, could I have blown just the passenger side fuse, or are both sides on once fuse?

Just so I don't get too many people giving me a hard time about not being able to check the fuses myself, I'm at work right now and can't look until tonight, but I wanted to know if anyone could help me off the top of their head.

The windows are on a circuit breaker. Those are the larger silver things in the fuse box. I am pretty sure there is only one, and that is not your problem.

First thing I would do is take the switch out (or both) and find out which wire suppies ground. What I have done is re-ground that wire to a bare metal surface and see it things work after that. Only takes me a few minutes. You need a test light to probe all the wires and figure out which is the ground.

If it starts working after I add a ground, I make that ground permanent and stop looking for the problem.

on your 94, interior fuse 14 is the PW CB, like Jerry said. That is the only CB that I know of also (for windows).

Is it fairly easy to pull (and put back) the wires from the back of the switches? They seem like they are in their pretty good. Also, would I have lost ground contact on both sides of the car for the passenger window switch?

What I mean is that both switches for the passenger window are not working, but the driver's window switch is working fine. Does anyone know which color wire is ground on the power window switch?
