I have a 91 LX and the window went down but won't come back up, I think that it is the motor but want to know if there is any way to manually put the window up until I can get a motor.

My window motor got stuck once... down.. in a rain storm. I ripped the door panel off, jiggled the motor around a bit (trying to figure out how to remove it) and it worked fine after that. Probably could have just kicked the door and had the same effect. If you listen really close down by the door speaker you should be able to hear the solenoid clicking when you press the button, then at least you know you have power and the button works.

You prolly dont need a new motor. Just pull the motor and look inside the cover on the end of it. Its 3 small bolts IIRC. To keep it simple, there are 3 plastic balls in there that need replacing in most cases. They cost less than a buck. Yep, cheaper than long distance. Do a search on window motors and you will find an excellent tech article that details everything. HTH

as said, pop the 3 bolts and move the window up and then bolt the motor back up (have someone hold the window when undoing the bolts - it is heavy and will fall hard).

someone once made his window motor work again by simply moving the wires at the motor - must have had a bad connection.

good info Jerry et al. i need to take the rear motors apart one of these days. :)

good luck.
