Power windows and locks quit working

Hey everybody. I have an 88 GT that has been sitting for about a year. I finally got around to getting in going and out of the blue the power windows and locks stopped working. Everything else works, the car runs and drives well. What do the two systems have in common? Is there a fuse that the two share? Also, my fuel gauge is just sitting all the way up, past full. Could they be connected? Thanks.

I might take a look at the driver (master) window and lock switch assembly. Make sure it is plugged in all the way (the connectors unplug from the back of the switch).

The two really dont share a common power path that I recall.

Did you check the fuse box to see if there are any blown out? That can be your problem, I remember a few months back, my courtesy light wasn't working and I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I saw it was a fuse. Do what HISSIN50 says after you see that it is or isn't a fuse. Good Luck. Later, Jeff.

Hey guys, thanks for the response. The thing with the fuses is that the power windows have that metal circuit breaker thing which I don't think would affect the locks anyway. And would driver master window and lock assembly affect both sides (driver and passenger). I'm stumped.

If I remember right they can, has do with how it is wired?
