I am considering a cable clutch and power booster assembly for my '66 from MustangSteve. Has anyone used purchased or used this assembly from him and if so how did it work?

Also, I have front discs and added a versaille rear disk. My Master cylinder has 1 large chamber and 1 smaller chamber. Is this a Disk/drum unit and if so should I switch to another type MC w/ the booster set-up? What would it look like or where could I get one?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I have it and it was the best thing I ever did to my old auto coupe. Clutch pedal wasn't wimpy soft, it was just right and the whole kit was installed in a few hours. Well worth the 484 bucks shipped. My kit included new clutch and brake pedal, booster, quadrant, firewall adjuster and brace, cable, roller bearing pedal assembly, and all the hardware to mount it. I stayed with the 4 wheel drums/single reservoir temprarily and put the booster on it. Most people will say not to do this, but I did and the difference in stopping power is unreal. It surprised my worst critics, my mustang buddies.

I'm sure steve says the booster works with any combo of brakes and m/c. He also has a message board on his site, where he can answer your questions quicker. Good luck.

I started this project yesterday and the kit is awesome. I , too went with the high end kit and everything is going well. Mustang Steve is excellent to do buisness with. I'm also going with the Versailles rear. Ask Mustang Steve which master cylinder is on his own car. That 1 sounds the best.
