i would worry a little about the fuel pump and injectors. they might not be able to deliver enough fuel.

let's see what other folks say ...

btw, welcome!

i think those kits come with a fuel pump, but yea black vert is right, if it doesnt then ur gonna need sufficient fuel delivery

Well anyway you have a cobra so you already have the 24lb injectors with the maf calibrated to it so you should be fine, unless you want to step it up to 30lb injectors to play it safe. Someone on here made around 350 rwhp on a 9psi powerdyne with basically a stock cobra. Thats pretty good.

The Powerdyne kit is a nice "little" blower. I have a 9 lb kit on my Cobra. As stated I only saw 5 psi boost on the dyno. No problems on my used kit in almost 2 years. I'm still using the FMU & stock MAF & injectors & put down 345 rwhp, up from the 255 rwhp before the supercharger. You will need to get 1 heat range colder plug & put the timing back to 10. Get it on a dyno to make sure not detonation & you have a good safe air fuel ratio.

not dangerous for the car, but dangerous for the blower.the belt driven design is only reliable up to a certain rpm. anything above the 9psi pulley is overspinning the blower and making it more prone to premature failure.

Had my charger for 5 years with no problems, started out as a 6Lb.Then put a 9Lb. pulley on it 2 years ago with 24# injectors, never blew a head gasket with as much as 14* timing, but keep at 10*.

The weakest point of these as far as boost is the junky inlet tube to the charger.Do yourself a favor and buy a powerpipe or create a homemade job with the blow by valve,a must or you will get back pressure in the throttle body area like i experianced. When i put the new inlet tubing on my boost went from 4.5# to 7#.

Do you have any pic of your setup? How much power are you running now at 7psi?

Wish i had pics with the new inlet tube for ya brother, but havent took any yet,if i get some i will post, just fixed the new setup in last week, the old set up was causing me low MPH at the track 2 weeks ago(less than what i figured it should be around) and didnt discover the problems with it untill after track at home inspection.

I had blown out the valve cover gaskets and was in the process of changing them when i noticed oil on the lip of the charger inlet flange, then discovered 2 gaps in the factory powerdyne intake tubing setup and holes in the crappy bend tubing,it was sucking oil into these gaps(from the blown out gaskets) and fileing the plugs out, let alone kiling the boost.

The new set up is great.I am going to the track again weds.I cant give you any HP #'s since i havent had it dyno'd yet but i am getting close to mid 12's.This is what i was looking for with the stock cam.But like i said before, this is all still with the #9 pulley on the powerdyne and #24 injectors with no signs of detonation with 14* of timing(which was just checked tonight)

I will keep you posted.
