Anyone had any experiance with these gears? I ordered a set of 3.73's that were advertised as Ford gears but the package has Precision Gear instructions. I only paid $109.00 shipped, I just wonder if they are worth it or should I send them back and get my money back?
They are a decent gear. Would be interesting to hear how they do in the S197 rears though. Other than the FRPP 4.10s in my '06, the only other set of gears I've had replaced were in my '86 Ranger. I used Richmond Gear 4.56s(7.5")and they were great. I drove the truck for about 2 years after the install and never had a problem.
Well I actually run it fairly easy for the 1st 1000 miles like I have other new cars in the past. Maybe I'm just too cautious, I just rather be safe than sorry even though its killing me.
