predator problem with 99 mustang, im not able to disable the speed limiter my friend car cut at 110 mph and when i go inside the tuner i select off but each time it s again set at on, after all the time i reinstall the tune and it never want to be off what is that ?????????

mine does the same thing...i set it to off and nothing changes. i wrote predator an email and they responded that mustangs don't have speed limiters...i must've talked to an idiot tech. anyways, i need to call them but haven't gotten around it yet. i use my speed limiter as a sanity check when some guy tries to race me on the highway!

but i have a round 550 rwhp so when i pull the 3rd gear my car cut

I am doing this from memory, but you have to turn it off and something else off on the same page for it to work.

It's odd that your car cuts out at 110, my truck cut out there, my 03 stang I haven't hit the limiter yet

I have a 99 auto and havn't had a problem turning the limiter off, mines off right now

110? That's the limiter for a V6 Mustang. Are you sure you got the right Predator for the right car? I'm not sure if there are different models of the Predator for different models of mustangs. I know it goes by year, though. You should check that out.

the reason mine is at 110 is becuase the guy i bought the car from got it with the crappy 16 inch wheels stock becuase he immediately bought the cobra r wheels. they were governed like the v6 mustangs becuause the tires were not rated for higher speeds.

I have had mine to 135 and it hasn't shut off. Is it true that they don't shut off or is it some off the wall high number that only some one insane could find?

before i installed my predator tune i had put that little speed needle down to 145-150 mph going form L.A to Phoenix i just did it to see where my car would top out at so when i saw that it would that i was cool with it since i will never take the car up to that speed but i havent meesed with the speed limiter so i dont know what the steps are

If you are making that much power then I'm sure that you had someone tune it for you. That guy should be able to kill the limiter, regardless of the software he was using.

Just a thought.
