I think I am going to just bite the bullet and get new rear full quaters along with a new cowl vent panel. I realize there are numerous venders, but who would you guys buy from? Also, are Ford tooling worth the extra money. Because if so, I would like to prevent as little money as possible going across the big water to the little people. I think that is politicly correct.

origional tooling is definately worth the money. You will spend more getting a bodyshop to do final fitting and junk trying to make repop junk fit.

On Mondays in August you can get 15% off sheetmetal from CJ Pony Parts. I just bought a RH Fender last night. Ford tooling type to replace a repop that doesn't fit well.

You can pay the parts man now, or the body man later... the orig tooling are worth every penny.

I took and quoted from several (CJ's, Branda, Dallas Mustang, etc) and I had them quote the best price they could, asked for extra discounts, shipping etc and went with the best quote. I ended up with Branda but the entire bill was about 2k. (Fenders, shelby hood, cali special trunk, GT valance, front valance, filler panel, fender extensions, etc... lots of parts, one purchase.) If they know they are competing... they will work with you on the price.

I just bought both rear full quarters and upper cowl from John's Mustang which are from Dynacorn(spelling). I may try to take them back, because ya'll are scarring me! Who all carries originals. I guess everyone most likely sells dynacorn that do not carry originals.

My rear quarter was a repop and it fit well... I dont know if they have orig quarters for coupes yet. That part involves bodywork anyway, so I was pleased with the fit.

I bought 2 front fenders and 2 rear quarters from CJ Pony. They are made overseas, but the front fenders fit quite well. I had to bore a couple of holes for the alignment, but nothing too drastic. The metal is def thinner, but once it's all on you can't tell unless you tap it or know how thick it should be.
If the ford tooling pieces are of the same thickness as stock... I'd prolly opt for that. Just for the thought of it being an 'exact' replacement. That's just me tho...
