Plenty of them at the auto paint store. I think I use "Prep All" or something like that. As mentioned, then tack.

i think we wiped mine down with some sort of alchol i think it was acetone actually. i recomend if this is a home job to first do a primmer all over your car. the reason i say this is i didnt. lol the doors are not quite the same shade as the rest of my car. i have fiber glass doors hatch and hood and being as they were white when i painted them viper blue and the rest of the car was maroon when it got splashed they didnt quite match. hopefully i can fix this in the winter still have lots of paint left.

Whether you prime the whole car or not, the above problem is because you did not use sealer.

i did my car at a vo tec school. before primered area's used a cleaner, cant remember the name off the top of my head. same before students did final paint.(final clean?) good auto body supply will know. new paint looks awesome pics coming soon.(7up 5.0).after instructor buffed car with glaze,he instructed me to do another coat of glaze by hand , then use Pesta Fast Wax.You can find this at auto body supply also. Professional wax for new paint. After years of consumer stuff i'll never go back. The other big thing was to blow off car prior to paint(cowl, crevices of vert top,any place dirt can hide that might blow up when painting.)

1990 5.0 7 up vert

When you prime, I found that using a hi build prime works best, covers all the little imperfections that you may have.
