Does anyone ny any chance know whats the torque specs for 02 mustang gt pressure plate ive seen other says 19-24 ft lbs and other say 33ft lbs + 60 degrees does anyone know which one is correct?
This is from my manual. However, I torque mine to 34 lb-ft and call it good. Haven't lost one yet.
The Nm and lb-ft are off column so read it as 33 + 60° for lb-ft
33+60 is the spec
However 33 lbs plus 60 degrees is going to put your torque around 55-60 lbs and that is too much
I am with weendoggy and torque mine to about 35
I also have never seen torque to yield bolts in a ford pressure plate
That does not mean they do not exist
I didn't see where they want the bolts replaced each time
Use grade 8 or 10.9 bolts and be done with it
