Price of 02 sensors!!??

Jebus! I was gonna buy some new 02 sensors for my install of my 5.0 in my Mustang. At Autozone, the cheapest they had were $60 A PIECE! I just about shat myself.

Where can I buy cheap 02 sensors at? $60 a piece sounds absolutely ridiculous to me.

Im assuming ure talking about US dollars which does sound a bit high for 5.0 o2's but they are expensive, almost consider yourself lucky, modular 4.6's have 4 and run more around the 90-150 CDN dollar range.

That sounds about right to me. I got mine at advance, but they were the same price. It isn't like you have to replace them every month or anything, and if yours are still original like mine were you will come out ahead in the added gas mileage.

My friend bought one for his Ford Probe for $16. Why is the 5.0 nearly $50 more when there isn't much differnece?

ive seen them for 40-45 a piece (that is what AZ charges here). TS is right on. remember, while HEGO's are more expensive, they hold up a lot longer than non-heated O2's.

i need to do mine too. oh yeah, there are online places that sell 2 for ~80 bucks plus shipping.

does he have HEGO's? generic non heated lambdas are often 15-30 bucks.

I think the Autozone around here sells them for $38 or something close to that.

Hey I just bought a new set of Bosh for for my 93 GT for like $110 only to drive it to the dyno shop shoip for them to unplug em, if you want em you can have em for $50.

Ok, I gotta get new ones. But, I need 02 sensors for long tube headers. Is there any difference in the calibration of the sensor as far as that goes or do they just have longer wires?

Ray@VSK, if I can use the ones you have, I will buy them off of you.

Last time I bought here in east TN (2 years ago) my price was almost identical to NYC LSC's - at Autzone about $39 a piece plus tax.

IMO No difference in calibration for long tubes. Possitive. But just there costly. Nothings cheap on these cars.

Where at? The Autozone in Ottumwa, IA wants to charge me $60 a piece for the cheapest ones they have. I guess I could try calling Oreilys.

This is down in Davenport, haha i didn't look to see where you were located. I was at an exhuast shop when i was going to replace them and i think he was going to get them at atutozone or Lindquist Ford in Bettendorf.

the 02s are the same,but you'll have to buy an 02 sensor wiring extension kit for them to reach your stock plug ins.you'd be better off to buy the kit because i've seen to many harness's get butchered by people trying to extend the wires and it'll end up causing more problems down the road.
