If I did not redo the same things over and over again I would only have half the money invested. It's not because of poor planning but rather constant upgrading (or trial and error and breakage?).
on a side note, this is no way near the quality of your all's car wheather it be engine vs engine or body vs body. i got it to drive, not a trailer queen or drag strip only car.
I kept about 95% of my receipts so far, but I also have a rough running tally in my head. $1900 for the car, $3800 longblock, and $3000 in hastily-tallied incidentals(with many I dont remember off the top of my head).
I keep just about all of my receipts as well. I have only about $6,500 invested including the car. I've had it just about 3 years now and it's still not drivable. My plans are to make it a "driver" and not so much a "looker". Have redone the motor, complete electric, and complete front and rear suspension. Still need to convert the brakes, set up a new gas tank and lines, and to buy tires and maybe rims. It will get painted a new coat of primer black and I will drive it just about everywhere. The "looker" in the family is a yellow 32 Ford Roadster, now I need a real driver.
