Price on Kenne Bell supercharger?

Now if I could just cut and paste this easily into my GT!!! $3700 - $4900, depending on options and amount of boost.

KB totally rules. the problem though, their 9psi, about the same horsepower and torque as the Vortech 9psi is almost 1 thousand dollars more than the votech. It yield a little bit better gains, but for for the outrageously high price.

well it might cost more and create about the same power maybe a little more. BUT GUESS WHAT I BET THAT VORTECH ISIN'T MAKING A CURVE LINE LIKE A KB, WERE BOOST IS JUST ABOUT INSTANT WHILE YOUR'E SITTING THEIR TRYING TO PICK UP RPMS IN YOUR VORTECH GUESS WHAT THE KB CAR IS GONE ABOUT 3 CARS FROM YOU. ATLEAST THAT IS WHAT I HEARD THE MOST ON THESE BOARDS.

ANOTHER THING I DONT THINK A VORTECH AT 14 PSI YEILDS 107% LIKE THE KB UNIT ON GT'S

:stupid: Thats what has me sold on the KB. (that and the fact that their customer service seems to take care of their customers better than anyone else.)

Would it be worth the money to get the intercooled kit?

no doubt. do the math ~100hp for ~$3700 and ~50hp more for an additional ~$1200. plus intercooling is very nice on hot days and if you ever decide to go intercooled latter your have to remove the kb kit to do it which is wasted work if you ask me.

Actually the KB units are pretty efficient and don't have as much problems with Air compression temperature increase at low boosts. Although in my honest opinion i would never use a supercharger without an intercooler. My neighbor rebuilds supercharges for a living and he is so afraid of blowing his Monte carlo that he runs almost anal boost without an intercooler. If i were you and wanted to protect your investment and you car drivability i would stick with an intercooler no matter what. Cover your ass otherwise you take a chance and no engine is the same.

well i dont think you can use the gt blower on the 5.4 the heads are father apart, in that case you can just run the lightning blower.
Yep, those #s are on a stock GT - ported heads, cams, etc. would enhance these numbers - swheeeet!

ya, i knew about the 5.4's heads being farther apart. I was assuming the use of some alluminum addaptors like what 5.0 mustangs mag. did. If that were the case, would the kb be a better sc than the lightning sc?

KB rules! Great power and torque from down low all the way thru the power range. Yes, those KB listed gains are on a stock motor, but with a few mods you gain much more. With my mods you can see what I am putting out in my sig. The cost is well worth it IMHO, and it's pretty much maintenance free after the install. I have install notes and photos on my site if you're interested.

i don't know alot about superchargers but...

I would think the KB for the gt ( i think its only 1.7 liters or something like that) wouldn't flow enough air for a 5.4. You would be better off with the 2.2 liter they are coming out with.
