Can anyone recommend a glue or way to attach the copper back to the plastic in my 72 instrument panel (printed circuit board)? 3 of the copper things are seperated and I'm not getting a reliable ground for the cluster lights. Thanks for any help!

usually the only way to fix that type of circuit is to replace the printed circuit.

if your just needing to hold down the copper wire to the plastic overlay,
see if your wife has a glues stick in her drawer of odds and ends.
looks like a lipstick tube but is glue.
works real well.

If you have broken connections it can be fixed if you are real careful.
you need flux and a good iron to mend it.
peel it away from the overlay to work your repair and glue it back down.

Just a page from my "If its already Broke....I can't hurt it files"

Or maybe I'm just too cheap to get a new one.

This stuff is available locally, you should be able to find some in your neck of the woods. Might do the trick.

I have seen a paint in JC Whitney catalog that is for fixing heated rear window elements - simply clean and paint it on where the breaks occur -- then you can take duct tape and sandwich the separated plastic circuit panel around the edges with the tape since nobody sees it anyway.

Thanks guys. I used a 2 part plastic super glue to attach the copper, then scraped the copper with a razor blade to clean the contact area. I checked continuity over the copper surfaces and am glad to say my lights and gauges now work.
