Dead speedometer... not odometer gears or trans speed sensor 4R70 W

I have 2 separate clusters with the same problem. Dead speedometers (1994, 1995) both have burnt the same battery lead in the circuit backing. 4th pin from the right, plug facing you. I have included pictures, both go to the circuit board for the speedometer.

I'm pretty sure this is not an uncommon problem. Anyone know the fix?Thanks!
