I searched their site, searched this one and no relevant topics came up. I may just end up calling them to find out for sure if no one knows for certain.

Does anyone know if Pro 5.0 has any other handle other than the shorty their shifters come with?

Boy, not much action on here since school is back in. The day crew is shorted.

Anyway, in case anyone was wondering, I called Pro 5.0 and talked to Joe. He said he would do an exchange for the medium handle, which has a 2 inch set-back. Sounds much, much better to me.

I'm going to do the exchange and all it's going to cost me is the shipping $.

But I'm a cheap a$$ and want my money back for the one I have

I think they should ship it with their medium instead of the shorty.

I went with the steeda handle after repeatedly missing 2nd gear...now it pretty much solved my prblems. And man, 5th gear is as close as 2nd used to be lol...and 2nd is right there. I love the steeda handle, and my pro 5.0...its a perfect combo.

I think the pro 5.0 medium is the same design as the Steeda. I wished I had known before ordering and I woulda ordered the medium instead of the shorty when I was searching for a noodle replacement.

if you don't like the reach of the 5.0 handle, a tri ax handle moves the shifter knob back a little bit.

I think the medium one I'm getting soon is going to be about the same. I'll post up the measurements when I get the new handle.

Hmmm, I really doubt that, as the Tri-Ax is a very unique design. It's angled back and over toward the driver. If Pro 5.0 is talking about a medium handle, it's likely just a longer version of their short handle (I have no problem with the short handle, but I can understand why some would have to stretch for it - I'm 6'2", so the reach is pretty easy for me)

When I get it, I'll post up a pic of the two (the Pro 5.0's) for comparison.

It's not just a longer version, it's offset backwards towards the driver, just like the Steeda. I cannot believe no one has ever questioned it before (at least I haven't seen anyone on here do so) and requested a different handle. Pro 5.0 just always sends a shorty. I will have pics soon, as soon as I get the handle.
BTW, this information is from a conversation with Joe at Pro 5.0 this AM. Can't wait to see the difference!

I put the tri-ax handle on my Pro5.0 too....works great.

They only had one handle for the Pro5.0 at the time (3 years ago now)

One thing I like about the steeda is its forged aluminum...freekin 200-300%+ lighter than my short steel pro 5.0. felt like holding a big rock vs a feather.

This one looks way different than the shorty I have right now. It is like a powder coated/grey textured finish. You'll see later on....

What do you think, as compared to the Pro 5.0 shorty?

Well, two things...
I guess I did see that at the FFW in Brandenton...I just didn't know it was Pro 5.0.
2nd - It really looks like a copy of the Tri-Ax handle...and there's nothing wrong with that...it's a great design. I think you'll like the feel. As for me, even at 6'2", I'm getting a bit tired of the stretch.

EDIT - and I gotta myself because I was the one above who said I doubt it's like the Tri-Ax.

Hey, at least you have the nobility to admit it. I commend you for that. I can't wait to do the install! I'm at 6'0" and stretch for 3rd and 5th every stinking time!

Seems pretty simular to the steeda...you will LOVE it. It looks like steel...how heavy is it? The one thing bad I have heard about the steeda is that it has broken on one person one cold morning, just shifting into reverse or something....you would have to be superman just to bend that thing LOL. Be assured that your tranny would be destroyed if you shifted hard enough to break or bend it....if thats a good thing.
