Anyone have their shifter boot ripped by the Pro 5.0. Anyone have a fix once they replaced the boot so it doesn't happen again. Thanks.

I don't have a rip per se, but on the back side (on the 4th gear rest point) mine seems to have pinched the boot and caused a mild seam tear in the pleather boot......

Buy a real leather shift boot. Like the one on the Cobras. They are a lot more flexable.
I like this one. Can't wait for mine to rip so I have to replace it.

Yup, mine got pinched and ripped in the fourth gear position. So you guys think a leather one won't rip if it gets pinched ?

Would climate be a factor in this? Yeah, it's Spring/Summer weather now, but I put my shifter in just after Christmas and noticed the pinch mark about 2 weeks ago and was not extremely happy. The central Midwest tends to have chilly weather in the winter and maybe the boot has experienced expansion since the install??
