I wanna go with this shifter because it's the one that i always wanted to get, but i'm worried about buzzing b/c my stock shifter annoys the piss outta me. Is the 5.0 any quieter as far as buzzing is concerned? idc about tranny whine that much

Pro 5.0 is not quieter than stock...if anything, it will be louder because it's all metal...no internal rubber parts to absorb vibration.

Any aftermarket shifter is going to produce more resonance and "feel" from the gearbox because the "comfort" pieces are eliminated (as mentioned in post #2) in exchange for improved performance.

I have had 3 Pro5.0 shifters in 3 Mustangs and loved each of them entirely.

When I installed my PRO 5.0 I used a gasket kit. This includes a piece of gasket that gets bolted between the stick and the body of the shifter. It still makes more noise than the stock shifter.

My MGW is as quiet as a mouse. No noise what-so-ever. No crunching sounds either.

To everyone with the pro 5.0s...BUY THE STEEDA FORGED ALUMINUM HANDLE!

My stock pro 5.0 handle sucked...it was SUPER short and very heavy. The steeda relocates the knob back towards you and is very light....feels like a feather when you hold it haha. I think pro 5.0 has a handle that basically does this, but im not sure if its aluminum.

I like Pro3 and all I got was this crappy CT.

My MGW is quiet... the only noise I ever get comes from the steeda shift knob... which I choose to ignore cause it looks awesome!
